How does a stretch ceiling work ?

just 2 Components can change your ceiling

Hello,

A Simple Concept That Revolutionized the Ceiling Industry

What began as a simple yet ingenious idea in the 1970s transformed the ceiling industry forever. A visionary French inventor introduced the world to stretch ceilings, combining practicality with stunning aesthetics. More than 50 years later, the concept remains unchanged, a testament to its brilliance and enduring appeal.

The Two Key Components That Transform Your Ceiling

The stretch ceiling system is built on the seamless integration of just two essential components:

  1. The Track
Also known as the profile, frame, or cornice (interchangeable terms), the track is secured around the perimeter of the room’s walls. This component is carefully leveled to ensure a flawless installation. The profile features a male interior harpoon receiver, which serves as the anchor for the ceiling membrane.

  2. The Membrane
Often referred to as film, fabric, or vinyl, the membrane is the stretchable surface material. It comes pre-fitted with an external female hooking harpoon, factory-installed along its edges.

The Installation Process
Using a straight spatula, the installer hooks the membrane’s harpoon onto the profile. This method allows the membrane to stretch evenly across the room, resulting in a sleek, tensioned finish that enhances the space’s overall look.  Thank You
